Custer State Park

We spent all of yesterday in Custer State Park. There were a lot of windy roads as we went up and down the mountains. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. We stopped every now and then to let the girls climb around on the rocks.

Our next stop was a picnic area by a creek. Sarah spent her time wondering around while Emily and Eliana waded in the creek.

Eliana decided it would be funny to throw Emily's shoe into the creek. As Emily chased after it as it went downstream, she ended up tripping on a rock and got her shorts and bottom half of her shirt soaked. I did not think that was very funny at all.

We saw a lot of animals: buffalo, priarie dogs, deer, and antelope. Here's one with two babies:

We had some donkeys come up to my open car window and stick their noses in. We stopped by the stables so that Emily could see the horses. They were all booked up for trail rides yesterday so Emily was disappointed. It was a great day to be outside though. I love the weather up here...not too hot with a breeze. We are going to be Wyoming today so I need to get ready to go.
