April Fool's Jokes

Happy April Fool's! Have any of you played any jokes today? I remember doing all kinds of jokes as a kid. Some of my favorites were:

-- Put red food coloring in the shower head the night before so when someone turns on the water, it will come out red.

-- Put rocks in my Dad's lunch bag instead of food.

-- Put saran wrap under the toilet seat.

-- Tie a rope around all of the doorknobs going down our hall so no one could get out of their rooms.

Emily is old enough to remember that April 1st is April Fool's Day so I can't catch her by surprise as easily. Last night, I put two glasses of milk in the freezer. When I woke up this morning, I took the cups out of the freezer. Then, I poured a little bit of milk on top of the frozen milk. When the girls went to get a drink, they drank a little, then had this confused look on their faces and just stared for a couple of seconds. Then Emily said, "Mom, my milk is FROZEN!" to which I replied, "April Fool's!"

While I was packing Emily's lunch, she asked me if I was going to play another joke by putting chocolate chips in her peanut butter roll-up instead of raisins. I told her that was a yummy joke idea, but we didn't have any chocolate chips today. Speaking of yummy jokes, as I am looking around my desk, I am noticing that someone has taken my stash of jellybeans that I keep behind my keyboard. Hmmm...I guess I will go investigate. I will be needing them tonight to help me stay awake while I type reports or maybe I can just sleep. If I told my boss I didn't have the reports done on time, I wonder if he might reply, "April Fool's!" :)
