Swim Lessons, Take 2

Both of the girls started their second month of swim lessons. Emily was excited to see that she still had Mr. Tim for an instructor. I did some eliptical exercise for most of the lesson, but came back for the last ten minutes. She was able to jump off the side of the pool, go completely to the bottom, come up for air, and swim to the side of the pool.

When I announced another month of swim lessons at the dinner table last night, Eliana told the family multiple times that she hated swim lessons. She definitely did not want to take them again. She did not care if she didn't get to go to a water park this summer. Nothing I could say would persuade her to change her mind. All morning and early afternoon today it was the same story. I was dreading the lesson just picturing Eliana throwing a fit and not doing anything the lifeguard wanted her to do.

Thankfully, I was surprised. There was a new lifeguard teaching Eliana's class, Ms. Molly. She started at the beginning and when I came back at the end of the lesson, Eliana was having a great time! She is back to saying that she loves swimming again! I pray that it will last until the end of the session. We shall see...
