Fall Festival

We had our Fall Festival at church tonight. It was a lot of fun! Emily and Eliana wanted to ride the horses right away. Emily asked me if she could ride the horse bareback. I think she saw that in the American Girl: Felicity movie recently. The hayride was next and it was the longest hayride I have ever been on. Sarah kept taking her socks off during the ride and sticking them in her stroller or in her mouth. I finally decided it was not too chilly and let her be barefoot for awhile in hopes that she would give up the game whenever I tried to keep them on next time. It didn't work. No matter how much time elapsed, she would still pull them right off again.

The girls enjoyed the cupcake walk, each winning two cupcakes. The booth games were a lot of fun also! There was a beanbag toss, a ring toss, a fishing game, football toss, basketball toss, and horseshoe toss. There was plenty of candy for prizes and the girls were excited to win the treats.

Facepainting was next on the agenda and both girls wanted pink: Emily a butterfly and Eliana a heart. After that, we went to the food tent, but we should have gone there first as most people had eaten in the beginning and there wasn't much leftover. I'll remember that for next year. Emily had some of Mrs. Health's chili which she said was delicious! Another horse ride completed our fun evening. I'm so thankful that our church puts together this wonderful event every year! Thank you to everyone who worked hard to get everything organized! The girls loved it!
