Fun Days

We did a couple of fun things today. We started the morning off working at the local food pantry with our Sunday School class. We stocked the shelves with the donated food that was available. Andy helped tear down the empty boxes. Sarah did not want to give up her box of chocolate pudding that we had brought to be donated, but I was able to bribe her with crackers. I'm hoping that we can do more with the food pantry this summer. Emily and Eliana had a lot of fun helping out. Sarah was very cranky and cried most of the time. She fell asleep before we left the parking lot.

Emily and I had fun this afternoon. We went to a luncheon that was for all of the girls going to camp this week. The girls made a couple of crafts and had a devotion to help prepare them for the next week.

I'm looking forward to hearing about Emily's camping adventure when she gets back. We are busy trying to get everything packed and ready to go. She is super excited and I'm super nervous.

The girls and I also made some cookies a couple of days ago. They are allowed to pick an activity to do each afternoon and they picked baking one day.

The swimming pool just opened today so I'm hoping they will want to spend more afternoons outside. I hope everyone else is having as much fun this summer as we are...Summer is going to fly by!

  1. So fun! That's so great to teach the kids volunteer work! Poor Sarah, maybe she can hold some corn next time ;)
